CITY OF SOUTHPORT RESIDENTIAL  SOLID WASTE SERVICES

The City of Southport has contracted with Waste Industries to pick up the following:        

Household Garbage
East of Howe Street on Tuesday
West of Howe Street on Monday
Note: cart roll-out for elderly & handicapped will be provided by Waste Industries upon request.

Yard Waste
City-wide on Wednesday.  Use cart labeled “for yard waste only” or plastic bags.
Note

• Loose leaves & clippings WILL NOT be picked up

• Brush & limbs must be tied & bundled in maximum lengths of 5 feet & 70 pounds in weight.

• All yard waste must be placed curbside.

• The City of Southport bills you $4.83 on your utility bill for yard waste and curbside recycling.  

Curbside Recycling Bins: Bi-weekly on household garbage day.

Waste Industries will only pick up refuse if it is in the proper container.

Additional roll-out cart service for household garbage may be purchased by contacting the City of Southport Utility Office at 910-457-7900.  

White Goods & Brown Goods Pickup.  The removal of white goods (appliances) and brown goods (t.v./mattresses/tables/chairs/couches) is not a service provided by Waste Industries or the City of Southport.

Construction Debris.  No service is provided for pickup of construction debris.

Lot Clearing & Tree Removal.  No service is provided for the disposal of this debris. Whether you contract for lot clearing and/or tree removal or do the work yourself, you are responsible for removal of this debris.
